Need a side? Try my Marinated Tomato & Feta Salad.

Again… yum.

I made MOST of this meal ahead of time.

Get your garnishes ready: Slice 1 red onion, slice the tomato, and have your spinach leaves ready to go!

Make the burger patties:

Make the Tzatziki Spread:

At this point you’re as far as you can get prior to dinnertime! WHEW!

Time to Eat!!

Take the lamb out of the fridge about 20-25 minutes before you’re ready to grill. This will take the chill off a bit. Form each ball into a patty about 4 inches in diameter. Sprinkle a little salt over each of the patties. Pre-heat your grill to medium-high and grill the patties for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare. When you remove the burgers from the grill let them rest 3-4 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute… this will make the burgers nice and JUICY!

Serve the burgers with your sliced red onions (I grilled ours), sliced tomato, baby spinach (we were out), and the Tzatziki spread! We ate ours on pita bread that I cut in half and grilled. You can use regular hamburger buns if you prefer though!

I also served a Marinated Tomato & Feta Salad alongside our burgers. We like it on the side but it tasted REALLY good on the burger too! Click to get the Marinated Tomato & Feta Salad recipe and the Marinated Tomato & Feta Salad Shopping List.

Here’s are some visuals to help a bit:

The Cost?

Unfortunately this meal is a splurge due to the ground lamb in the recipe. I actually think they would be really delicious with ground beef instead of ground lamb. If you can get the lamb on sale go for it!… but I don’t believe it goes on sale often… or ever. 😦

If you substitute ground beef for the Lamb, the burgers are still a bit on the pricey side at $4.00 per serving.

The Marinated Tomato Salad is $1.69 per serving.
