This recipe was my experimenting with Alton Brown’s Peanut Butter Fudge recipe that I posted here during my Peanut Butter saga. A comment made by one of you lovely readers inspired me to try replacing the peanut butter with nutella. Genius.

Nutella and softened butter.
Microwave-safe bowl. Saran wrap. Two more minutes. Stir. Two more minutes.
Powdered sugar. I destroy my kitchen with this stuff. The counter, the floor, my hands, my face, that little slit between the counter and the stove, my utensil canister, my children’s feet…. who knows where else. I don’t want to know. Let’s focus on the deliciousness instead of the disaster. Shall we?
Pure vanilla extract. Can’t get enough of this smell.

This gets hard to mix and it loses most of its sheen, but that just means you’ve done it right.
Into a parchment-lined pan it went. Alton’s recipe calls for an 8×8 pan but I tried a 13×9 this time. Either way you can divide it out however you like once it’s set.
