Well, a Super Bowl party wouldn’t be quite as fun without dessert.

With all the other food prep going on for your party, I thought I’d stick with the same “themes” as the salsa I shared yesterday: ‘Pantry-Ready’ (ingredients you might have on hand) and ‘Make-Ahead’ (less stress the day of your celebration). Essential to the success of your Super Bowl festivities. Or at least essential to your sanity. And mine.

This dessert recipe would be fun anytime really, but it’s fancy enough for special occasions like Valentine’s Day, Christmas, or Super Bowl Sunday! The other thing I love about it is that it gives us a way to have S’mores without building a campfire. I love S’mores! But there are limited nights you can enjoy a fire here in Phoenix. You can make this with all semi-sweet or dark chocolate if you like, but I had white and dark chocolate on hand, and I thought the dark and white chocolate would be pretty when layered together.

Let me show you how easy this is.

I poured one bag of white chocolate chips into a microwave-safe bowl and heated it on HIGH for 1 minute.

Then I gave it a gentle stir, allowing the warm chips to melt a bit.

To fully melt the chips, I just kept microwaving in 10 second increments. Stir them each time until they are melted completely.

Then I just scraped all the melted chocolate onto a large, rimmed baking sheet that I had already lined with foil and sprayed with cooking spray.

I quickly spread out the chocolate into a thin, even layer that just about covered the pan.

I waited for the white chocolate to set. If you’re in a rush you can pop it in the fridge to speed up the process a bit.

I repeated the same melting process with a bag of dark chocolate chips.

Now, before the top chocolate layer set, I worked quickly to sprinkle graham cracker crumbs evenly over the top in a light layer. I used 3-4 honey graham crackers and just pureed them in my food processor to create fine crumbs. You could put them in a zip top bag and do the same thing, of course.

Continuing to work quickly before the top chocolate layer set, I poured 2 cups of mini marshmallows over the top of everything. I spaced them out as evenly as possible and pressed them down into the chocolate lightly.

The final step is to pop the whole thing in your pre-heated broiler, just until the marshmallows are toasted. You’ll want to put the pan on the center rack. This will only take 30 seconds to 1 minute.

I put the whole pan in the fridge to allow everything to set completely. Then I broke the S’mores bark into chunks for serving.

    • I thought of that…. but I realized it wouldn’t be possible to spread melted chocolate over graham cracker crumbs without them getting all mixed in with the chocolate… sounded messy to me! Maybe try it with whole graham crackers? That might be hard to spread too? I’m picturing the graham crackers sliding everywhere. Let me know if you try it and how it turns out! ❤

  1. Looks deelish! I am wondering about a way to get a little more graham cracker taste to it – hmmm, how about putting the layer of white chocolate down, and then sticking the whole graham crackers on top, gently pushing them, with light pressure, so the white chocolate acts as cement, to hold the GCs in place, allow it to cool, and proceed with the rest of the recipe, as usual? Either way, these sound really good!
